(a) (Among) 213 Purpose.?The great majority of poisons were selfadministered. Only two cases of dhatura poisoning were administered by others for the purpose of robbery. (I.) Accident.?(a) Opium, alcohol, cocaine, ganja, bhang, and dhatura were in many cases taken in overdose by people addicted to them, causing symptoms of poisoning. (t) Mistake.?Liniments of camphor, belladonna, aconite, and iodine were taken internally by mistake. (c) Carelessness in the custody of poisons enabling children to swallow them. Of such, opium, camphor, belladonna, iodoform, and kerosene oil formed the chief. (d) Ergot was taken in one case as an abortifacient.
